Abstract
291,603. McCallum, J., and Anderson, H. P. H. May 31, 1927. Feedwater, supplying. - In a steam power plant wherein exhaust steam from an engine 1 is partly condensed in a condenser 5 and returned to the boiler 19 bv a pump 12, as described in Specifications 254,874 and 271,928, cooling water is passed from the condenser to the inlet side of the pump to make up for losses in the feed system. The supply of make up through a pipe 10 is controlled by a valve 17, which may be operated by a float in a chamber in free communication with the boiler. The engine drain cock 16 may discharge into the pipe 10 through a pipe 15.
