289,946. Fry, L. B., and Thomas, B. A. Feb. 3, 1927. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Cleaning. - In a machine for cleaning tinned plates &c., the plates are fed through bran in the trough 1 by fingers 4 on a wheel 2, and as they leave the trough strike a guide 21 by which they are fed on to guides 22. From these guides the plates pass through sheepskin rolls 7 and then through dusting rolls 8 - - 1.1 which are driven at varying speeds. On emerging from these rolls the plate strikes a guide 23 which directs the plate on to a grid 17 which feeds the plate between polishing rolls 12 -- 16, which also are driven at varying speeds.
