Abstract

Hearses; h e a r s e s with passenger compartments. - Fourdoor closed passenger vehicles are arranged to provide a coffin chamber when desired behind the driver's seat. The coffin chamber extends transversely of the vehicle and the coffin is introduced into the chamber through the window A arranged between the two doors on one side. The chamber comprises a back panel B hinged to the top rail, a base board G hinged to the back panel, and a glass panel H hinged to the back of the driver's seat and arranged to be tilted forwardly to enable the base board G to be folded back on to the back panel which then may be folded into the roof.
