Abstract

283,817. Conradty, E. and Conradty, O., (trading as Conradty, C. [Firm of]). June 24, 1927, [Convention date]. Holders.-To prevent corrosion in holders by acid fumes, the terminals and contacts and all other parts are made of acid-proof materials. When these parts are of metal, silica steels may be adopted. A holder is described wherein the conducting parts are of carbon or graphite. The outer shell A is made of glass, porcelain, &c., and the two contacts of the bulb cap are adapted to engage with blocks B, C of carbon in the holder, these blocks being separated by an insulating-block D and secured in the holder of a screw-threaded ring E. A packing- ring F of rubber or asbestos tends to exclude fumes from the interior of the holder.
