283,331. Johns, Son, & Watts, Ltd., and Jones, G. T. Dec. 22, 1926. Contents, facilitating access to.-A display box comprises a tray 9 arranged in or on the bottom 2 to which is hinged a lid 5, a support 11 hinged at one end to the bottom of the box or to a side wall of the lid and at the other end engaging the underside of the tray and to which it is flexibly connected and a connection 14 between the support and the lid so that when the lid is raised, the tray is moved to a sloping position to display the article therein. As shown the tray is hinged at the top edge 8 of its front wall to the front wall 3 of the bottom and the support has a hinged extension 12 which is connected by the flexible member 13 with the underside of the tray. The member 13 prevents the lid from moving the support 11 beyond the position in which it will hold the tray in the required sloping position and when the lid is closed it engages the extension 12 and moves the support about its hinge to allow the tray to fall into the bottom 2.
