Abstract

282,306. Mond, A. L., (Norddeutsche Chemische Fabrik in Harburg). Aug. 8, 1927. Lead chloride is obtained by treating lead sulphate with a solution of a chloride at temperatures above 100‹ C. under increased pressure, e.g. lead sulphate may be boiled with a concentrated solution of sodium chloride at 140‹-150‹ C. at a pressure of 4-5 atmospheres for 10-15 minutes. The liquid is filtered and the lead chloride crystallized out.
