Abstract

318,067. Blanc, G. A. Dec 11. 1928. Potassium compounds, obtaining from complex silicates.-Ferric chloride is removed from the acid solutions obtained in the treatment of leucite, or other silicates with hydrochloric acid as set forth in Specifications 176,770 and 181,677, by allowing the strongly acid mother liquor, from which the aluminium chloride has crystallized while hot, to cool at the end of each operation before diluting the same with water. Ferric chloride is deposited, together with a portion of the potassium chloride.
