281,106. Coventry Climax Engines, Ltd., and Wooddisse, J. T. Dec. 21, 1926. Cylinders, construction of heads of, and materials for; cooling, and arrangement of igniters in. -A cylinder head comprises a combustion chamber wall 2 pressed from sheet metal,-e.g. steel- and united by a flanged edge 5 to a cast metale.g. iron or aluminium-water jacket 6. The several indentations 3 for the different combustion chambers of the block are separated by flat ports 4 which extend round the cylinders and support tubes 8 for the holding-down bolts. The flanged edge, 5 are welded together, or the edge of the wall 2 may be turned inwards and the jacket cast on it. Sparking plugs may be screwed into a neck 10 of the wall 2 which extends through a hole in the jacket.
