Abstract
280,404. Banks, J. W., and Banks, J. J. Jan. 27, 1927. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Working valves for cloth calendering machines. Pressure inlet and outlet valves e, f in a common casing have screwed stems i provided with handwheels or levers o, p, which are operated to allow pressure liquid to pass from a port w to a port y connected to hydraulic rams, or from the port y through a passage 3 to exhaust. The stroke of the levers is limited by stops u, and the levers are each mounted to allow of adjustment to compensate for wear by means of a key adapted to engage one of a number of keyways s. The passage 3 leads to a secondary casing in which is a spring-pressed valve 7 which may be held open when required by means of a nut 11 on its screwed spindle.
