Buckets; double-acting bucket pumps. - A double-acting syringe comprises two telescopic tubes a, c the tube a being connected to the liquid supply by a pipe o and a non-return valve n, and the tuba c being provided at the outer end with a delivery nozzle e, and at the inner end with a detachable extension g carrying a non- return valve g<3>, ports g<2>, and cup-leather g<4> fitting the tube a. During the inward movement of the tube c, the liquid in the inner end of the tube a passes through the valve g<3>, part being delivered through the nozzle e, while part passes through parts g<2> in the tube c into the space d and is delivered on the outstroke of the tube c.
