Synchronizing hands. - In apparatus for the distant control of clocks of the kind employing two electromagnetically controlled jaws to grip and position the clock hand, the current to the electromagnet is controlled by a mechanical resenance relay R, the armature of which is tuned to the frequency of an alternating current. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the armature closes the circuit for solenoid d having a core c forked to engage and close the synchronizing arms a, b upon the clock hand. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the armature e responding to the appropriate frequency vibrates and through a spring f drives the wheel d and the wheels Z1, Z2 for the same purpose.
