276,137. Hoveman, W. A., Hoveman, F. C., and Buhrings Filters, Ltd. Aug. 12, 1926. Aerating chambers and fittings; injector apparatus.-Apparatus for aerating water in bulk comprises an enclosed system having superposed air inlet, water inlet and aeration chambers 3, 2, 1 respectively and a number of water-operated air injectors 4, 5 depending into the aeration chamber, the number of injectors in operation being determined by the head of water in the chamber 2, water and foul-air discharge pipes 10, 11 being also provided. The air pipes 5 are vertically adjustable in the water pipes 4 and hoods 8 having graduated apertures 9 are located over the mouths of the water pipes, or weirs of different height may be provided. The injector pipes dip into separate water seal vessels 4<1>. A float 13 regulates the water inlet flow.
