Abstract

275,564. Rothenberg, O. Aug. 9, 1926, [Convention date]. Swivelling couplings.-An electric cable is connected to a suspended apparatus by a swivelling coupling comprising insulating blocks 38, 39 through which passes a spindle provided with a head 41 having a ball-bearing 42 between it and a metal cylinder 40 from which the apparatus is suspended. The conductors are connected to terminals 51, Fig. 8, carried by the block 38 connected to brushes 52 which bear on slip rings 53 connected to termina.ls 54 to which the other conductors are connected. Fig. 9 shows the coupling combined with a pipe coupling comprising a sleeve 37 to which gas tubing 43 is connected.
