Ventilators; valves.-A ventilation fitting automatically rotatable during the delivery of air comprises a rotatable valve or outlet device c have a discharge opening i for the passage of ventilation air, and a nozzle or nozzles for the discharge of a jet or jets of air distinct from that passing the valve or outlet and in a direction tangential to the axis of rotation. The discharge outlet i is provided in a ball valve h mounted in a socket in the rotor casing e. The nozzles are arranged in the roots of retarding vanes k, and each consists of a pair of coaxial cylinders l, m, of which the outer is angularly movable over the inner within limits prescribed by a screw and slot arrangement n. Apertures in the cylinders l, m can be brought into register in order to provide the air jets. The rotor casing e is mounted on a sleeve d and spider f, the sleeve d being rotatable on a spindle b disposed in the wall of an air duct.
