275,234. Rostschutz-Farbwerke Dr. Liebreich Ges. July 27, 1926, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Paints.-Rust-preventing oil paints contain an alkaline or alkaline earth compound whose specific gravity is less than that of the pigment used. Suitable compounds are magnesium oxide, 'hydroxide, carbonate or basic carbonate, or a mixture thereof. In an example, 6 parts of linseed oil are mixed with 23 parts of white lead and a small quantity of vine black. Dry magnesium basic carbonate is stirred in, in the proportion of 0.5-1 gram to 10 grams of the mass.
