Abstract
273,618. Bennet, J. A. R. March 25, 1927. Connecting-rods. - The piston 10 of a vacuum pump is pressed into contact with the fixed cylinder cover during the final portion of the delivery stroke. It is driven from the crank shaft by a rigid rod 29 and a yielding jointed rod 32, 36 connected to the ends of a lever 28 on the crank pin. The rods 29, 36 are connected by a link 40. A spring 39 is disposed between adjacent parts on the ends of the rods 32, 36.
