Wireless tuning-apparatus, adjustment devices for.-A geared variable condenser is provided with an index and vernier plate A, the gearing being arranged so that the index pointer S<1> and condenser vanes M are movable only by the vernier knob B. The gearing may be either of the spur or helical type and a brake spring P<4> is located on the vernier spindle. The gearing may be mounted on the plate A which is of insulating-material. Electrical contact with the movable plates is made by a wound spring D<2> connected to a plate D on the spindle and to a pillar D<4> on the framework.
