Abstract

315,014. Tingey, W. C., and Dubilier Condenser Co. (1925), Ltd. April 4, 1928. Wireless tuning - apparatus, adjustment devices for.-The knob, dial, or other control or indicator for a condenser, variometer, &c. is secured to the operating spindle by a transverse screw engaging a resilient plug of fibre, leather, rubber, &c. located between the screw and spindle. As shown, the screws 6 securing the fine and coarse adjustment knobs are located in apertures 7 and engage nuts 9 positioned in recesses 8 in the bosses 3, the ends of the screws abutting against resilient plugs 10 in engagement with the operating spindle 5. The nuts 9 may be dispensed with and the apertures 7 screwthreaded, and the securing screws can be slightly inclined to the axis of the operating spindle.
