Abstract

Wireless tuning-apparatus, adjustment devices for.- A dial indicator for a wireless instrument such as a variometer or condenser comprises a circular scale on a white celluloid or other disc & attached to the spindle s of the instrument and having an opening f through which the scale b can be observed. The opening f is sufficiently large to expose a part of the markings and an adjacent space on which an additional marking indicating the call sign, wave-length, &c. corresponding to the setting may be marked with pen or pencil The cover c may be of metal to avoid capacity effects, and secured to an insulating knob d by a metal brush j. An extension handle k may be screwed into this bush and may serve to secure the knob and disc to the spindle s, or a grub screw g may be provided in addition for this purpose. The cover c may be integral with the knob d. The disc b may be secured to the panel by screws &c. or by means of the nut securing the bush that supports the spindle, in the case of a one-hole fixing. The opening f is preferably formed with a re-entrant point serving as an indicating pointer. According to the Provisional Specification the invention is applicable to any other type of instrument or mechanism adjusted by a rotary movement.
