Abstract

257,051. Cole, W. J., and Telegraph Condenser Co., Ltd. June 26, 1925. Condensers of the kind that are variable and set to the value at which they are intended to be used, comprise a series of fixed plates mounted within a holder 2 attached to a casing 3 to which it is secured by lugs 4. The holder is shaped as a slide for 'the moving plates 6 so that they may be partially withdrawn from the fixed plates, this movement being effected by an external lever 7 or operating member fixed on a spindle 8 and connected with the plates 6 by means of a lever 9 and link 10. A slot 12 is formed in the holder to allow of this movement, the amount of which is indicated by graduations on the outside of the casing, and strips 15 connect the plates to terminal studs 14. As all the above parts are secured to one wall of the casing, the construction may be applied to a panel.
