Abstract

270,058. Shapin, I., (trading as Penton Engineering Co.). March 22, 1926. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Wireless tuning-apparatus, adjustment devices for.-Coil-holders for radio purposes in which the movable holders are actuated by gearing are provided with means for preventing backlash comprising a rotatable bush 16 having an eccentrically disposed bearing 15 for the operating-spindle 12. The bush is provided with a saw cut 18 to facilitate adjustment thereof. The movable holder 5 carries a gear 9 meshing with screwthreads 11 cut on the operating-spindle which is provided with a reduced end 14 biassed into engagement with the bearing 15 by a spring 21. A lock-nut 24 co-operates with a screw-threaded stub 22 on the movable holder, the stub working in an arcuate slot in the side panel 2.
