Abstract

267,417. French, A. W. Oct. 5. 1926. Air vessels; valves, arrangement of. - For the purpose of retaining air in the barrel of a continuous sprayer of the kind adapted to be connected by a pipe with a source for supplying liquid, the discharge of fluid takes place through an opening 24 at the end of an inwardly-directed tube 23 communicating with the nozzle. A curved nozzle plate 26 may be mounted on the tube. The cylinder 2 is provided with inlet and discharge ball valves 16, 19 carried in a removable fitting 13, which communicates with the pump cylinder by a passage 11. The balls are made of metal such as phosphor bronze or brass, adapted to resist the action of the liquids sprayed.
