Abstract

264,996. Vale, F. W., and Charles, P. A. Jan. 15, 1926. Single-acting piston pumps; suction reservoirs. -A sprayer for scent &c. comprises a pump barrel 1 provided with a cap 2 which is connected to the scent container by means of a screwed flange 13. The suction valve is carried by a cap 6 screwed into the end of the barrel. The scent is delivered through a pipe 12 to the nozzle 11 which is carried by the cap. A valve 10 on the piston rod prevents leakage through the cap when the pump is not working. The piston may be fixed in its inner position by means of a screw-threaded portion of the piston rod engaging a threaded hole in the cap 2. The apparatus may be covered by a cap mounted on the scent container.
