Abstract

305,870. Tankard, H. April 3, 1928. Drip from, preventing and catching.-An anti-drip device for use upon the outlets of taps of beer engines &c. comprises a receptacle e for collecting the drip or waste liquid which is emptied therefrom by suction created by a flow of liquid from the tap. The nozzle is formed as a Venturi-tube a with a flared end b and with a central cylindrical out let c and side passages f leading the drip from a trough d into the annular receptacle e. On the subsequent operation of the tap the suctioneffect withdraws the waste liquid through thepassages f from the receptacle e and discharges it with the flowing liquid.
