Abstract
266,162. Schilde, R. April 1, 1926. Endless-band conveyers; air, controlling direction of flow of.-Separate plates 16 of metal, veneers, cardboards, &c. are dried by passage through a tunnel-like chamber 6 fitted with a number of centrifugal or helical fans 7 on shafts parallel with the plane of movement of the material to be dried, the fans creating unidirectional or oppositely directed substantially circular currents of drying-air which impinge against the material on one or both sides. The plates are carried between conveyers 4, 15, the lower conveyer being arranged to provide feed and discharge tables 11, 13. The fans are arranged in cells formed by deflector plates 18. specification 247,036 is referred to.
