Ventilators ; valves and valve apparatuss.-A ventilator applied to an air duct or box 1 is constituted by a nozzle member B mounted for universal movement in a rotatable socket B<1>, which is operatively connected, by means of a gear train, with an air motor arranged within the duct and driven by the flow of air through the same. The socket B<1> is fixed to a rotor shell R at the mouth of the air duct, and such shell is formed integrally with a spider journaled on a stud R<1> supported by an arm S. The air motor comprises an air screw 9 mounted on a spindle 10. revoluble in a gear case 3 and fitted with a worm engaging a worm wheel 12. The latter wheel is fixed on a spindle 13, at the free end of which is mounted a friction wheel 8 engaging a flange 7 on the shell R. The motor is pivoted at 4 to lugs 5 on the boss 6 of the arm S.
