264,479. Soc. Anon. Franþaise du Ferodo. Jan. 13, 1926, [Convention date]. Blocks and shoes; cone and disc. - Friction linings 1 for brakes are cemented to a backing member 2 which is riveted, screwed or bolted to the shoe &c. 3 by means which do not project through the lining. In the case of tapered friction surfaces the backing member may be in the form of cones, segments, or rings. The cementing material may be a product of condensation of phenol sold under the registered Trade Mark " Bakelite," glue, or other adhesive and the lining may contain Bakelite &c. in order to obtain antogeneous cementing.
