Abstract

Transformers.-Inductance coils of the ironclad type with a winding embedded in the core have their windings shielded by interrupted copper tape or tinfoil wrapped around the windings before mounting and are insulated from the core. As shown, Fig. 1, the windings of a loading coil are each provided with a shield 15 - - 18 and a further shield 19 may be wrapped around the group. In a modification the coils may be partially shielded. The windings may be connected to form a shielded bridge transformer. Specification 180,642 is referred to.
