Detachable stoppers secured by clamping devices. -A stopper for petrol tanks, radiators, and other containers comprises a flat or dome shaped top D having on its underside a packing ring A and a depending tubular part which tapers inwardly for about three fourths of its depth and then outwardly to adapt it to be levered over an outstanding rubber ring C disposed in a groove or swage B in a tubular neck formed with a flanged base F and inturned top O, the ring C exerting a downward pressure on the cap when it is in the closing position.
