260,237. Ehrich & Graetz Akt.-Ges. Oct. 21, 1925, [Convention date]. Vaporizing-apparatus.-In a vapour stove in which oil contained in a reservoir 1 under pressure is forced through a pipe 2 extending nearly to the bottom of the container to a vapour burner, a short tube 3 of less diameter than the pipe 2 is secured to a fitting 4 screwing into the top of the pipe 2. A closed air pocket is thereby formed between the tube 3 and pipe 2. The starting cup 5 is clamped between the fitting 4 and pipe 2. At starting heat conducted to the oil reservoir from the burning spirit in the cup 5 generates sufficient pressure in the reservoir to force the fuel through the tube 3 and vaporizer 6, 7, 8 to the vapour nipple 9 where it is ignited by the spirit flame. After ignition has taken place pressure is applied to the reservoir by means of an air pump to bring the flame to its full volume.
