[Class 75 (iii)] In an igniter in which the liquid-fuel container 1 is provided with a dropping or spraying cap 25 for delivering Eau de Cologne or other fuel for perfuming, refreshing or cleansing, a communication exists, or is adapted to be established, between the igniter wick and the container, and the latter is provided with means for enabling pressure to be exerted on the fuel to effect delivery to the wick. In the forms shown in Figs. 1, 3, and 4, the container is provided with a flexible wall or walls 8 for delivering fuel to the cap 25 and through a tube 2 to the wick 3 or through a hole 24 to the wick of a removable pyrophoric torch 21. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the flexible wall may be replaced by a rigid wall, the cap 25 being opened to effect delivery of fuel to the torch when necessary. In the igniter shown in Fig. 4, the frictional igniter 34, 35 and wick 3 are mounted in a block 27 of heat-insulating material, such as hard rubber, secured by screws with an intermediate asbestos washer 29 to the container 1. The wick-tube 30 and a cap 38 surrounding the flint tube 37 may also consist of heat-insulating material. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the wick 48 and frictional igniter 49, 50 are mounted on a removable carrier 51, a spring-plunger 58 being provided for opening a spring-pressed valve 53 in the outlet of a cylinder 61 communicating through a tube 62 with the container 1. The valve 53 may be connected with the flexible wall 8 for operation thereby and the wick 48 may be ignited automatically on withdrawing the container as by means of an auxiliary wheel running on a roughened track on the container and gearing with the frictionwheel 49. The frictional ignition devices may be replaced by electric or other ignition means, for example, an electric filament connected with a battery located in the carrier 51 or in a chamber adjoining the container 1, Figs. 1-3.
