Abstract

338,757. Takimizu, S., and Idemitsu, H. Dec. 10, 1929. Vaporizing-apparatus; oil-supply and overflow fittings.-Fuel oil from a reservoir 6 drips into a cup 5 and is led to a vaporizing chamber D arranged above a perforated tube A which is surrounded by a perforated tube B in a casing E. The vapour generated in the chamber D leaves through pipes C arranged in channels in the tube A and is discharged at their lower ends so as to burn in the annular space between the tubes A, B. The cup 5 is provided with an overflow pipe 8 at such a level as to prevent unvaporized fuel from entering the pipes C. The vaporizing chamber is heated initially and the issuing gas ignited by burning lighter fuel at an asbestos ring 10 in a cup F which may be adjusted vertically by means of a cam 11. The vaporizing chamber D and pipes 0 may be removed and a cap 3 detached when necessary for cleaning purposes.
