Abstract

259,804. Smith, W. Prince-, and Waterhouse, D. Dec. 24, 1925. Driving - arrange - ments. - The front roller gear 12 of spinning, twisting, and like machines is provided with teeth which are not parallel with the axis of the roller shaft, for example double helical teeth as shown, so as to eliminate or damp the vibrations incidental to the ordinary gearing. The twist wheel is driven by sprocket gearing and gears with a wheel 7 keyed on an arbor carrying a gear 11 which meshes with the gear 12.
