Abstract

259,725. J³rges, E. Aug. 29, 1925. Bricks, special shapes of.-In a furnace arch formed of bricks suspended by hanger bars, the lower ends of the latter have the shape of hammer heads F which are inserted in corresponding openings G in the bricks, such openings being provided with lateral extensions H to receive the hanger bars B and undercut recesses to receive the hammer heads when the bricks are slid laterally into position on the hanger bars. The hanger bars are composed of two members connected by an articular joint C. The bricks are provided with projections and corresponding recesses at D. Air passages E are provided in the bricks for the passage of air for cooling purposes.
