Bedsteads convertible into seats; seat adjustments.-In a seat convertible into a bedstead, of the kind comprising a hinged back 3, a hinged extensible seat 2, and corner posts 4 hinged at their middle so that the arms 5 can be turned down into a horizontal or a vertical position, the hinges 8 are of the flat rule-joint type, secured by screws driven horizontally into the wood of the posts across the grain thereof, and the bar 7, which permits angular adjustment of the back, and braces the arms when in their position of use, is provided with necked ends which engage in corresponding slots 10 in the back ends of the arms.
