Planes, arrangement and construction of.-An aeroplane is provided with upwardly-inclined lower wings 3, 4, connected together at the bottom by a central wing portion 5 and joined at their outer ends to the upper wing 2, the lower wings 3, 4 being tapered outwardly and flared at their ends, and provided with permanent observation openings 3<a>, 4a. The upper and lower wings are united at the centre by a triangular truss structure 6, 7. Land wheels.-A single large front wheel 9 projects into the fuselage 1, and rear landing wheels 10, 11 are mounted below each side of the tail plane 10a, 11<a>, which is strengthened transversely to take the load when landing.
