Electric and magnetic. - A brake magnet such as is used in electricity meters is mounted on a rotatable plate engaged by a micrometer screw to effect the adjustment of the magnet in relation to the rotating disc. The segment 4 is mounted on a plate 7 by set-screws 5 which screw into the plate and pass through arcuate slots in the fixed plate 1. A screw 6 passes through the plates 1, 7 and screws into the magnet. The plate 7 can be turned about the screw 6 to adjust the magnet by a micrometer screw 11 screwing into a lug 12 on the fixed plate 1 and engaging a slot in a lug 9 on the plate 7. The plate 1 carries the bearing 2 for the rotating disc 3.
