Metal-pots for type-bar-making machines. - A wiper for the metal-pot mouthpiece of a type-barmaking machine is mounted on the metal-pot itself so as to be movable therewith. The wiper is in the form of a two-armed lever 8, having at the outer end of its longer arm a wiping-pad 13, and being pivoted to the metal-pot by means of a stud 10. The shorter arm of the lever is connected by a link 19 to an actuating-member, which may be the usual space-band lever 22. A spring on the stud 10 presses the wiper against the pot mouthpiece.
