Abstract

419,381. Cigar - making machines. AKTIEBOLAGET FORMATOR, 20, Alstromergatan, Stockholm. May 15, 1933, No. 14083. Convention date, June 3, 1932. [Class 130.] In a cigar-making machine of the kind in which the bunch is held in a nest of rollers a movable member extending longitudinally beyond the bunch is provided on or near the tension plate for supplying the flag end of the wrapper to the bunch. At the end of the wrapping operation the flag 6 is transferred from the suction head (not shown) to a roller 10 which is mounted on the tension plate and is rotated by the suction head or by the action of the pasted wrapper adhering to the roller. When the suction head has passed the roller, the latter is arrested by a brake lever 21 actuated by a cam disc 13, and is then rotated in the reverse direction by withdrawing the tension plate which is actuated by a cam 26 and lever 27. If the roller is mounted on the frame of the machine, the reverse movement is obtained by means of a spring.
