Abstract

256,204. Davenport, R. W. Aug. 1, 1925, [Convention date]. Refrigerators, domestic and like; ice-making, mould apparatus for.-The storage compartment 7 is provided with a centrally disposed elongated refrigerating coil 14 and a closable recess in its base for ice trays 16 which are inserted into or removed from the recess through openings in the front of the cabinet. A compression machine, which may operate on the principle described in Specification 249,097, is located in a subjacent compartment 9 and the condenser coil 12 is connected to the refrigerating coil by a looped pipe 20<a> which prevents liquid refrigerant passing from the refrigerating coil to the condenser coil when the machine is not in use. The refrigerating coil is preferably formed by stamped metal plates.
