432,256. Refrigerators. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Feb. 6, 1935, No. 3896. Convention date, Feb. 6, 1934. [Class 29] In a refrigerator can 1 the evaporator 11 of the refrigerating-machine is mounted in a cavity 15 in the lid 9 which is provided to enable goods to be inserted in or withdrawn from the can. A slide 14 is provided to partly or completely close the opening of the cavity and diminish the refrigerating effect if desired. The slide may automatically close the opening when the lid 9 is opened. An ice drawer 13 can be inserted in or withdrawn from the evaporator through an aperture closed by an insulating-plug 16. The generator absorber 19 is mounted on an extension of the lid support beyond the pivot 22 in order to partly counterbalance the weight of the door and facilitate opening. The condenser 18 and condensate receiver 10 of the machine are mounted on the lid 9. Part of the refrigerating-machine may be mounted firmly on the can 1 and connection made to the evaporator 11 by a flexible pipe.
