[Class 29] A drop hinged shelf 10 or a sliding shelf is fitted above the door 11 of the storage compartment of a domestic refrigerator, which may form part of a built-in or other kitchen cabinet, to serve as a support for articles to be stored &c. without impeding access to the refrigerator. The drop shelf may be supported by stays 10a, and forms the door of a compartment in front of the space for the compressor or other unit. Alternatively, the shelf may be supported by side wings guided by pin and slot, or a hinged drop door may be connected to a sliding shelf to form an extension of the shelf when lowered and drawn out.
