Abstract
594,554. Refrigerators. EARLE, G. L. C. Feb. 1. 1945, No. 2566. Convention date, Jan. 15, 1944. [Class 29] A lower part 20 of the refrigerator containing drawers 26 cooled by cold air descending from the evaporator 28 projects forwardly and forms a table surface 23 in front of the upper part 10, and the evaporator shell extends below the level 46 of the bottom of the door and has ledges 36 supporting a food basket 35. A baffle 50 at the side of and spaced from the evaporator 28 has its upper end terminating short of the top of the refrigerating chamber and curved inward towards the evaporator, to separate the rising warm air from the cold air descending around the evaporator. Ice trays 40 are provided within the evaporator, and shelves 45 in the food storage space. The refrigerator is surmounted by a cupboard 12. Specification 581,121 is referred to.
