Class 29 A domestic refrigerator cabinet has an L-shaped evaporator 1 located in the top back interior angle of the storage space. The evaporator may comprise two plates joined face to face-with refrigerant flowing between or as shown a single plate with refrigerant coils received to the underside of the horizontal arm of the L and to the outside of the vertical arm. An air and condensate deflector 10 is located inside and spaced from the arms of the evaporator and may carry shelves 17. The horizontal arm of the L is used as a freezing shelf. A refrigerant accumulator 9 is secured to the evaporator.
