Abstract

288,625. Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co., (Assignees of Davenport, R. W.). April 15, 1927, [Convention date]. Refrigerators, domestic and like. - A refrigerator cooled by a compression machine using a lubricating working substance is provided with a horizontal plate-like evaporator and containers for liquid to be frozen interposed between the evaporator and the food space. The machine is disposed beneath the compartment B<1> and the refrigerant passes from the condenser 9<1> to the evaporator 14 having ribs 17 on its underside for supporting the ice containers 18. The refrigerant passes through evaporator coils 15 in the food space which is separated from the freezing space by a removable strip-plate 19. The lubricant is concentrated in the bends of the coils. In a modification, the evaporator 14 is disposed at the bottom of the compartment B<1> and the containers rest upon the evaporator. Specifications 249,037 and 270,260 are referred to.
