Abstract

256,055. Anderson, A. Aug. 11, 1925. Band-saw machines. - Pulley and like wheels, such as those used for driving band-saws, are built up with a rubber rim 18 supported by wooden or metal rings 14, 15, screwed or otherwise attached to the rim and engaging metal web plates 16, 17, which, with a wooden, metal, &c. spacing block 19 are clamped by bolts between fixed and sliding flanges 12, 13 on the hub 10. The block 19 encloses a chamber 21 containing oil, which is fed through holes 22 to the interior of the, hub 10, running freely on a central shaft. Ventilating-holes 24, 25 are provided in the webs 16, 17.
