Abstract

255,847. Maschinenfabrik Augsburg- N³rnberg Akt.-Ges. July 23, 1925, [Convention date]. Printed paper, finishing ; drying-apparatus. - An intaglio-printing machine is provided with means for cooling the printed sheets or web to a substantially lower temperature than can be obtained by circulation of water from the main. A separate cooling-plant k, Fig. 1, is connected by pipes l in circuit with the hollow shaft h of a delivery cylinder c, one half of which is formed with channels g, Fig. 2, communicating by pipes l with the shaft h for circulation of cooling brine &c. The sheets are taken from the impression cylinder a by the cylinder c and passed to a drying-drum d from which they are transferred to the cooled portion of the cylinder c.
