Abstract

222,993. Evans, A. B. July 23, 1923. Rotary offset machines.-Continuous or composite designs are printed by offset cylinders e receiving the designs from plate cylinders a, b fitted with detachable plates c, d for printing a half of the design. If desired, more than two printing-cylinders may be so, arranged to print smaller fractions of the design than a half, the printing-cylinders being so arranged that a complete design is printed on the cylinder e. The cylinder e may co-operate with a second offset cylinder f, or direct with an impression cylinder as h, or two cylinders e may coact to print designs on opposite sides of the material.
