Abstract

255,797. Peters & Co., Ltd., G. D., and Porter, A. S. March 20, 1925. Patent abandoned on opposition. Locking catches.- The notched segment 11 engageable by a spring pressed member 5 on the handle 3 of a driver's brake valve or control valve for other fluid-pressure apparatus on vehicles to indicate to the operator the position of the handle, and it may be also for holding it in position, is formed separate from the valve casing 1 so that it may be readily renewed when worn and is made of hard or case-hardened steel or other metal having at its wearing surface a degree of hardness equal to that of hard steel. The brake valve shown is suitable for use in brake apparatus described in Specification 253,613, [Class 103 (i), Brakes &c.].
