Linear-dimension gauges.-Relates to calliper gauges of the type in which the sliding jaw b is carried on a main slider and a fine adjustment screw d is carried on a second slider c which may he clamped to the bar a, and consists in providing a connection between the screw and the main slider comprising a part the surface of which is a surface of revolution whch is formed on the screw or on the main slider and engages removably in a lodgment on the other part. The slider c is formed with lugs c<1> through the left hand one of which passes freely the screw d. The right hand lug is tapped and acts as a nut for the screw. The screw is provided at the end with a tenon disc d<2> engaging a semicircular groove in the main slider. The parts are engaged and disengaged by moving them to the extreme right hand of the bar a.
